The Regional Parks Foundation was established in 1969 to encourage private contributions in support of the East Bay Regional Park District. In addition to providing direct support to the East Bay Regional Park District, the Regional Parks Foundation also holds and invests funds for future use by the Park District.

It is the mission of the Regional Parks Foundation to help raise funds to support broader public access, resource protection and enhancement, educational and recreational programs, and the acquisition of parklands.

The Regional Parks Foundation is a private, 501(c)(3) non-profit. Donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowable by law.
