Tax Deductions

The Regional Parks Foundation was established in 1969 as a private 501(c)(3) non-profit to help improve access to the East Bay Regional Park District’s broad array of parklands, programs and services. It is the mission of the Foundation to raise funds to provide broader public access, resource enhancement and preservation, and support for educational and recreational programs. Donations made to the Foundation specifically help fund a variety of initiatives that include: Camperships for low-income and at-risk youth; environmental restoration and habitat enhancement projects; acquisition of parklands, and environmental education, to name a few.

  • Any amount donated above the cost of your annual Membership or Annual Park District Permit is deductible to the fullest extent allowable by law.
  • For Donor Circle Membership, donations above the cost of Family Membership are tax-deductible. This amount varies depending on residency within or outside of Alameda and ContraCostaCounties.
  • Basic Membership in either the Individual or Family category, as well as any purchase of Membership Add-Ons, and Annual Park District Permits are not tax-deductible.

The Regional Parks Foundation’s Federal Tax ID # is 23-7011877.
