1. What is an Angler Membership?
An Angler Membership is a combination of an Individual Membership, an Annual Park District Fishing Permit, and an Annual Park District Boat Launching Permit. It includes all of the benefits of Basic Membership.  Please note that the Angler Membership does not include the Invasive Mussel Permit and you will still be subject to Invasive Mussel Inspection Fees when you visit the parks with your boat.  For more information on the Invasive Mussel Inspections please visit the Park District's site HERE.  To purchase an Annual Invasive Mussel Inspection Permit click HERE.

2. Do you have Family Angler Memberships available?
No. Angler Membership is a type of Individual Membership and good for one person only.

3. I bought an Angler Membership, but I didn't receive the other cards indicating that I also have the permits for fishing and boat launch. What do I do?
The fishing and boat launch permits are "built in" to the Angler Membership Card. You are not sent separate cards for your annual fishing and boat launch permits. The fish icon (i.e. the fourth icon from the left on the back of the Angler card) represents both the fishing and boat launch permits included in Angler Membership. Park Staff understand that when they see this fish icon on an Angler Membership Card that you also have the fishing and boat launch permits included in the Angler Membership.

4. I want to buy an Angler Membership, but I don't use the boat launching permit part of it as I fish from the shoreline. Can I get a discount since I don't use it?
No. An Angler Membership includes all of the benefits of Basic Membership plus annual fishing and boat launch permits for one named individual. If you do not plan to use the boat launch permit, you should purchase an Individual Membership and a separate Annual Park District Fishing Permit.

5. What do you do with the fishing permit fees?
Fishing permit fees go towards restocking our lakes with fish.

6. If I buy a fishing access permit to fish in the Regional Parks, do I have to buy another type of permit?  What about boating fees?
Yes. In addition to the daily fishing access fee, a California state fishing license is required for individuals 16 years or older. Please go to www.dfg.ca.gov for information on obtaining a California state fishing license or call (916) 928-5805 for a list of vendors in your area; both yearly and day-use permits are offered.  If you plan to launch a boat, then you must also pay the boat launch fee and Invasive Mussel Inspection fee.  You can also purchase annual permits from the Regional Parks Foundation for both of these fees.

7. Do I have to buy an annual fishing permit when I only want to buy a permit for one day?
No. You have the option to purchase a daily fishing permit at the Regional Park when you enter. CLICK HERE for a list of the Regional Parks.
